Operation creation question

I created an operation on the source router specifying the source and destination addresses of the multilink interfaces. However when I go into the destination router and do a "sh ip sla conf" to view what config SW has added, I see ethernet addresses in the "Target address/Source address". (I created a "VoIP UDP jitter" operation in SW for this). All of the other parameters for the operation appear to be correct as I configured them. Why is SW changing the addresses? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Impaler -

Did you try to set the Source IP Address for the Source Node in your operation?

From the IP SLA Manager main view, click "IP SLA Manager Settings"
Click "Manage IP SLA Nodes"
Select the checkbox for the Source Node in your VoIP UDP Jitter operation and click the "Edit Node" button.
Set the "IP Address" field to the Source IP address you want to use for your IP SLA Operation.

OK I did indeed have the ethernet address for each location in there. I guess when you select a node to be included it uses whatever you have configured for it in NPM.

oops! Now I have another question - since I have multiple multilink interfaces on each router, how can I create a separate node within each router for each interface? i.e., if I create a node A using carrier #1's address, how can I create another node (which is actually physically on the same node) representing carrier #2's interface on the same router?

Follow-up questions cost more. :-)

So do you have 2 different IP addresses, one for each node/interface on the router?

If so, have you tried adding those IP addresses as nodes and is Orion/NPM able to see the 2 different IP addresses?
