Subnet hanging during autoscan

I'm running IPAM v1.0 (with NPM v9.1sp5) and the autoscan seems to get stuck and hang on one of the subnet's. Only after I cancel this subnet does it continue through processing the remaining subnets. Of course, this an hang for week and prevent us from having a current IP list.

I'm not seeing any related errors in the SolarWinds.Net log nor any logs files in the IPAM application directory (C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\IPAM).

Not currently, IPAM does not support additional pollers yet

You are not running any service packs or 1.0.1? Since you are on 9.1 I doubt you can upgrade to 1.5

I do intend to go to NPMv9.5 at some point. Can I go to IPAMv1.0.1 now?

Yea you should be able to, regardless though you will need to go through support to get the link to download the bits, can you please open a support case and reference this thwack thread

The problem with scanning hanging, is not resolved in 1.0.1 or 1.5.

I´m told that work is ongoing to resolve this issue, maybe by implementing a timer, canceling scan if exceded.

This is all great feedback. We are preparing content for our next release, and are looking for ways to improve our scanning in IPAM. Thanks for sharing!

The current general solution for "unhanging" a hung scan is to stop the currently running scan, and let IPAM restart the scan itself.

If this does not resolve your particular issue, please file a support ticket.

sjweinstein - IPAM is currently only supported on your primary poller.

That "solution" works fine.

However, we cant even monitor (and alert) on the scanning not completing - We have to discover this our selves...
