I've encountered something strange as I've increased my leader board rank from 165 now to 163. Rank 164 is absent from the board. Does anyone know why this is?
There is no 164.
Very odd, but nice spot though.
Yeah I see that. The question is.... but why?
This almost seems like it would be an Easter egg of sorts, but I can't think of any references to 164 within popular culture. It doesn't translate to anything interesting in binary or hex, and I don't know of any significance of the number in my (admittedly little) knowledge of programming languages.
Here’s a random collection. The 164th anniversary year of the US independence was 1940. The same year John Lennon was born, penicillin was invented, Grapes of Wrath was published, and Gone with the Wind cleaned up at the Academy Awards.
How about atomic numbers? 164 was assigned to Unhexquadium (Gibbium), a material with an atomic mass of 463. It’s also known as DVI-Mercury. Quicksilver joke?
||UPDATE||
So after watching this for awhile it seems like it is not a missing rank but rather that someone that has a score somewhere between 53,929 and 53,804 is hidden from the leader boards. Whatever their score is lies between those numbers. As more people increase in points the "missing" being occupied by this individual changes and goes further down the list. DanielleH is this a bug?
ooooh, a hidden user. Could be a banned user? Quite the mystery.
