iPhone e-mail

I'm having a problem where e-mails stop getting sent to iPhone clients. We are using mSuite with Lotus Notes but the clients connect via ActiveSync from the iPhone. Does anyone know of a way to monitor round trip e-mails connecting this way? I see there are ways to do this with IMAP etc but I can't find this with ActiveSync...

if you can get the iphone to auto-reply to specific messages you could write a script that sends an email and checks if it gets the email back...
