Installation failure: message "This (or a later) version of Solarwinds Toolset is already installed. The setup application cannot continue"

Hello

A while ago, I run the Engineers Toolset trial version, following a machine reinstall, and awaiting for the license reset. (my previous machine crashed)

Now, that my license is available,I uninstalled the Toolset via the add/remove panel in order to make a fresh install.

But I am unable to reinstall properly the Toolset. I get this error message:

"This (or a later) version of Solarwinds Toolset is already installed. The setup application cannot continue"

I do not see which cleanup I can do in order to install properly the Toolset

Any idea ?

What was the version you installed and what is the version you are trying to install?

the trial was a 10.5 (not sure, but serious chances) and the failure is with 10.6

The latest version released is 10.7. You may want to try with this one.

To make sure the previous version of Toolset is correctly uninstalled, search the registry for the following keys/values:

0EC3CD28-A02A-4E48-B303-6374CEDCD15A

50246E3A-07E3-4193-B63F-6EC36A5C983E

These are product keys for Toolset 10.4 and 10.5. Let me know if you find them.

Finally, my system admin simply deleted all solarwinds Keys under

HKLM\Software

In this Case

HKLM\Software\SolarWindsNet

HKLM\Software\Solarwinds Toolset

same problem for me.

i have the v9.2 in my desktop , then i get the v10.9.1. So first i uninstall the v9.2 then install 10.9.1 . Now i want to install the 10.9.1 to my work laptop and also keep the 9.2 in the desktop. But in the desktop when i try to reinstall 9.2 it shows the following Message:

"INSTALLATION FAILURE: MESSAGE "THIS (OR A LATER) VERSION OF SOLARWINDS TOOLSET IS ALREADY INSTALLED. THE SETUP APPLICATION CANNOT CONTINUE"

Hi,

What is the Registry Keys, values and for Toolset 11.0.8 needs to be deleted. I just need to remove them in our Workstation so we could install the 10.9 and version back.
