Issue after upgrade from APM to SAM

Hi,

After upgrading one of our installations from APM 4.2 to SAM 5.0, we get the message

"The settings property 'APM.ApmHardwareDetailsViewID' was not found."

whenever we try to add any account or account group. The account is still created, but all menu bars are missing.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I can not upgrade to SAM 5.2.

Hi,

you probably created new View based on view type Hardware Details. Correct? If you did please remove it and the error should be gone and you should be able to create account again.

You can confirm this by using this SQL statement: select * from Views where ViewType = 'APM Hardware Details'

It should list all Views with this view type. There is currently no build in View with this view type thus far all views listed must be removed.

You need to do this through the Orion UI. Settings\Manage Views.

The Hardware Detail view type is actually internal view type which should not be available to customer. Unfortunately it cannot be hide from you because current implementation do not allow this. We are planing to fix this in one of the future releases.
