Interactive Intelligence - Successfully Monitoring Gateways/CIC Servers?

We are looking to leverage our SolarWinds platform to monitor our phone system which is currently Interactive Intelligence. We have a mix of Audiocodes and Interactive Intelligence Edge devices for our Gateways and wanted to get them monitored for specific information such as PRI utilization/channel usage, Span status, as well as health of servers and to see if there were specific messages about important events that we could alert off of and are not having much luck. Has anyone here successfully done this in SolarWinds? Do you have any advice or guidance on how we would go about getting past the basic up/down and cpu utilization that we are currently getting? Anything would be a huge help. Thanks in advance.

Server health can be quantified through the SAM module wdouglass27, in my current prod environment it mirrors a lot of what you have and you can quantify server health via being able to successfully HTTPS login and get a response afterwards. Or you can use WPM for that, but it might be of less value because WPM won't monitor the servers as well. Typically the sip proxies, media servers, fax transcoders and web clients and all/mostly be logged into in one of a few ways. That won't work when they're quantifiably down. SAM will also grab you server/hardware health/process monitoring/server service monitoring, and the NPM core can grab traps/syslog for anything you need if you set them to forward to your orion server (which can thus mean alerts as well). So currently you can do about 90% outside of directly monitoring the call status, and as mentioned there isn't anything we can do with the CDR's from it right now.

The only services which VNQM is handling CDR's right now are Avaya and Cisco, unfortunately. So Skype for business, ININ and others are nowhere right now.

At the moment outside of the FR there isn't much VNQM is going to help with unless you want to run VOIP simulated IPSLA's from point A to B, but I believe monitoring SIP trunks is in the works as well IIRC.

We are having difficulty with our Interaction Edge gateways and getting them added. We can not get OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2793.4.2.3.1.6 to populate any data. Does SolarWinds support i3ig.mib and are we doing something wrong trying to access Interaction Edge gateway OIDs?

wait, are you using a UNDP to poll via custom mib? That should work if you find the right mib, but I don't remember who discusses supported MIBs. I think if you do a mibwalk and submit it someone handles it. Maybe cobrien remembers who it is?

Solarwinds supports a massive mib that they update frequently that you can download via the customer portal.

Uploading MIBs gives human readable names. It doesn't enable polling of an OID specified with numbers.
