"System Up Time descreased" warning
jonwhitear
I'm monitoring a Cisco PIX firewall running PIX software version 6.3.3. Every few days, I get errors like:
30/09/2003 08:50 AM System Up Time descreased on RBI.DMZ-PIX Firewall 'inside' interface.
I get the warning every five minutues (i.e. every time the PIX's stats are collected.) The only way to stop it is to delete the interface and add it again. At the same time, the graph of throuhput on that interface (average BPS) shows it steadily increasing, which (I know) it is not. Sometimes it will continue increasing until it is way beyond the bandwidth capabilites of the interface.
Any ideas?

I submitted this question to Tech Support, and they advise that this is a bug with the 6.1 release. 6.4 fixes it.
