Is ther anyway to exclude mac addresses associated with Gig interfaces? I would like to be able to see only those addresses associated with the 100 mb switchport interfaces.
Hi Kody - I am assuming that your Gig interfaces are trunk ports? There is nothing in the current version (Classic and Workspace Studio versions), unless you wanted to run the command line version (which does not do layer 3 resolution reverse DNS of the found IP addresses yet), and programatically exclude those interfaces with more than one VLAN assigned...
You can also select the "Show only interfaces with MACs on them" switch, then sort by the interface speed column (Workspace Studio version).
We are looking at removing the trunk ports in future versions.
HTH,
Greg
[GBN - Edited to correct layer 3 statement]
Thanks for feedback Greg!
Greg, would you please clarify ....
Are you still "thinking about it" or are developers actually developing code? This enhancement is really needed. It is a real pain to scroll through the output of hundreds of macs on a trunk port. We use the CLI and working on code to exclude trunk port so the output is easier to view. The layer 3 resolution is sorely needed with the CLI too.
RGWard - I am forbidden from giving time lines for features, but I we are acutely aware of the need and importance of these improvements, and they are very high on the list for implementation. That's the best answer I can give you right now...

Okay, thanks Greg. I'm hopeful "acutely aware" is code for next release.
