Duplicate entries in monthly report

I am running into an issue where a server is split across 2 entries in my monthly report (report shows a monthly avg of CPU and Memory util)

 

From what I can tell the report is duplicating the record because of a gap in data collection caused by a reboot of the box. Is there any way to avoid this? I would like to just have the avg for the device across the whole month.

I've had the same problem and I've consulted data entry services firm to clean up everything. Data management is icing on the cake for those experts. And they say duplicate entry can lead to serious business uncertainties and must be avoided as much as possible.
