New to CAT Tools, getting error: "did not receive VTY entry prompt from CAT OS"

Question

I've just installed the trial version to test it out.  I've added a Cisco Catalyst 4506 - E cabinet and set an activity to backup regularly the runningconfig.  But, when I run it, I get the error message:  "did not receive VTY entry prompt from CAT OS".

If you have set any of the field values in the 'Prompts' tab of the device setup, then clear these values and try again.

If you are still getting problems and you have software maintenance, I'd recommend raising a support ticket as you will need to send in some diagnostic files from CatTools for support to troubleshoot this issue with.

No, I was using Cisco.Switch.CatOS.  So, I switched it to Cisco.Switch.IOS, but still get a variation of that same error:

"Did Not Receive VTY Entry Prompt From CiscoSwitch.IOS"

Are you using the Cisco.Switch.IOS device type in CatTools?
