Hello everyone. New SolarWinds NPM user here.
Can anyone point me towards some resources that thoroughly explains how to things work when it comes to Reporting, Views, Charts and Graphing. The built in system makes very little sense to me. For example, I've had to create a bunch of UnDPs for nearly ALL of of my atypical hardware, but I'm unable to find the pollers anywhere in the resources/assets/???? selection. I did see one article (2016ish) about using entering the OIDs but that doesn't work for everywhere. Also, when I'm customizing views, it changes the view for every node I have and I don't want that. I'd like to limits my view changes to stuff like the vendor/model of the hardware. I do have anything put into groups based on function/role and/or Make & Model of device. Not sure if I'm using groups properly either. I'd love to apply views to groups as well, but I cannot seem to wrap my head around how to make display the data I want to see. My entire infrastructure is 95% network devices.
I've look on that SolarWinds academy but I only find about 10 VERY high level videos on how to use the product. I'm getting real close to just writing the SQL queries and running everything through Grafana for my NOC Dashboards.
