Is there a setting in ipMonitor to limit the size of sent alerts?
For example have the alert include first 200 characters of the %generatedcontent% token.
Thanks in advance

Radek,
You have a number of customizations available to you in terms of the email content, but restricting by character limits or size of the email is unfortunately not one of them. Here are some of the other options you have in terms of customization:
Enable this recovery action
If enabled, this action will be initiated when the Alert count matches the defined value in the Alert Range field.
Failure Command Line
ipMonitor will execute the Alert, passing the parameters defined here to the executable or script. The command line can be customized using user-defined text and ipMonitor Tokens. Click the Token List button to place a Token between alphanumeric characters, words, or sentences. When a Token is found, it is replaced with dynamic content represented by the Token.
Failure Message Subject
The message subject of the Failure Alert email. The message subject can be customized using user-defined text and ipMonitor Tokens. Click the Token List button to place a Token between alphanumeric characters, words, or sentences. When a Token is found, it is replaced with dynamic content represented by the Token.
Failure Message Text
The message to be sent upon a failure event.
Click the Token List button to place a Token between alphanumeric characters, words, or sentences. When a Token is found, it is replaced with dynamic content represented by the Token.
The following alert types have some special considerations:
Customizable Email. The failure message may be fully configured, including email headers, subject and message body as defined by RFC 822. This is especially useful for integration with internal Help Desk and Ticket solutions
Event log. The message text is recorded as the Description string.
Message Content
The textual message content being sent in the SNMP Trap Failure Alert. The Failure message text can be customized using user-defined text and ipMonitor Tokens. Click the Token List button to place a Token between alphanumeric characters, words, or sentences. When a Token is found, it is replaced with dynamic content represented by the Token.
Message Content OID
The OID associated with the specific message content for the SNMP Trap being generated.
Send Failure Notifications
Select this checkbox to enable failure notifications or actions.
Clear this checkbox to disable the failure notification or actions.
Specific Type
A value representing the specific kind of SNMP Trap being generated as the Alert. Used when the Trap Type field has been set to 'enterprise-Specific', the Specific Type value allows an SNMP Manager to correctly understand and validate the SNMP Trap.
Trap OID
The vender identification or 'Enterprise' OID of the Trap being generated as the Alert.
Trap Type
Defines whether the Alert SNMP Trap will be a generic (predefined) or an enterprise-Specific SNMP Trap Type.
