Is the current version of APM (v3.5) cappable of monitoring Java applications server via JMX? If so how?
Thanks,
Not at this time.
Just so that I have an idea, what Java applications are you wanting to monitor?
Its a in-house built Java app. used to perform many business funcitons from inventory, to POS, and call logging for our call center.
It is indeed possible to monitor JMX applications with APM today, provided you have the JVM SNMP Agent enabled. For more information checkout the link below.

Not directly but we have several JMX applications monitored via APM, we simply wrote a VBScript wrapper (Windows Script Monitor) around the java command. The VBScript outputs the status in the format APM expects - Exit code, Message and Statistic.
Thanks,Aaron
What Java app server are you using if any. JBoss, GlassFish?
We are looking to use GlassFish.
Hi Aaron,
Would you be willing to share your VBScript wrapper? It could be useful to other thwack users.

Agreed! this would be an excellent contribution to the community.
We have a beta available for the next version of APM which has monitoring for the following. If you are interested in helping us test this, DM me via thwack.
