Server Publication Verification

When doing the Server Publication Verification wizard I get the message there is a version mismatch between the WSUS Server version 3.2.7600.226 and the EminentWare server WSUS API version 3.1.6001.65.

I have looked everywhere I can think of but I cannot figure out how to get the WSUS API updated on my EminentWare server.

Hi Jason,

this basically means that you need to go to the EminentWare server and upgrade the console only installation of WSUS to 3.2.

Once you have done that, stop and start the EminentWare service, and you should be good to go.

Is this done inside eminentware or do I need to download wsus 3.2 from somewhere. I guess I am having trouble understanding exactly how EminentWare and WSUS tie together.

Hi Jeff,

probably wasnt too clear.

We use the WSUS API. The console only installation of WSUS on the EminentWare server provides the required API.

It is required that the WSUS server and the EminentWare server WSUS API versions be the same when using the 3rd party publishing and packaging capabilities in EminentWare.

You want to download WSUS 3 SP2 setup from Microsoft from here...

http://download.microsoft.com/download/B/0/6/B06A69C3-CF97-42CF-86BF-3C59D762E0B2/WSUS30-KB972455-x86.exe

and upgrade the version on the EminentWare server.

I guess during the initial install I didn't realize I had to install the WSUS console. After I downloaded the above and installed it everything seems to be working.
