Top 100 CBQoS Drop Report Query

I currently have an amended Top 100 CBQoS drop report providing previous 7 days EF and AF41 drops with custom columns specified using report writing programme. The one thing which is causing some confusion is the lack of date information on the report.

Is there a way to add the date range to the report heading rather than just specifying last 7 days?

Two Thoughts:

It looks like you're using the Report Writer reports so you can add Summarization options that might help cover it:

This might be a limitation of those reports in general. For example, comparing to the web based reports it seems like they include the range by default, so perhaps re-creating the report there would be an option for you.

Thanks for info J. My report writing skills are less than poor. Are there any good how-to's when it comes to recreating report writer reports in web based reporting tool?

I think the easiest thing is going to be to copy over the raw SQL. I don't guarantee that it will always work, but without getting into the nuts and bolts of it, that is your best bet. Here are two articles that talk about it very briefly and I'll provide some additional detail below:

Step 1 - Open your report in the Orion Report Writer (desktop app) and get the SQL:

Step 2 - Put the SQL in the web console in a new report:

I'm on 2016 so it's a little different and I noticed that the menus are slightly changed from the first article, so adding:

You should just be able to go to your programs, look for the SolarWinds folder/section (in All Programs or the Metro view) and select the Orion Report Writer. Once you select the report you want, you will want to go to the Menu and select Report -> Show SQL. Then you should be able to copy that entirely and use the second article to re-create the report in theory. The second article focuses on SWQL, but will get you to where you can select SQL instead and should generally follow the same steps, just you're using SQL instead.
