Blowing up my e-mail

In our IPMontior application, we have 1,846 monitors.

Last week, there was an unexpected network issue which caused the application to send out alerts for every monitor.  My inbox was bombarded with over 3,000 e-mails.

My question is:  Is there a way to set this up so that if there was some sort of network outage, we can be notified without getting thousands of e-mails/alerts?

Apologies for the delayed reply.  Have you tried configuring groups and dependencies for your monitors which should help you to suppress some of the unwanted alerts?
