A possible improvement to Engineers Toolsets

Would it be possible to have the network sonar from orion, as it is much more configurable. EG.. you can select to search 1 subnet at a time, intead of using the seed router

We use /16 as a subnet. but it is sometimes useful to search a /24 within it.

Try this from Sonar....
Select "Discovery->Select Subnets to Include in Discovery". This will bring up a list of Subnets.
But it also displays a Subnets menu. Click on "Subnets->Add Subnet".
You can now add a /24 subnet to search.
