I am trying to figure out charge back, or show back, reporting specifically I need to arrange the VMs by a department or users. Can it be done? Is there any documentation on how the reporting works?
This one is an oldie but still mostly relevant. Some of the things like Data export are now more easily accessible from the Reporting tab of the web console.
Reporting in Virtualization Manager
The key to everything in Virtualization Manager is building the correct search criteria which can be done using the Advanced Search button you see in the web console. There are also examples in the admin guide.
You can also go the default Showback dashboard, click on any of the widget names to drill into the Trend or "Business View" and view the search query + segmentation information
