I know with most IOS based devices, I can define SNMP views and restrict SNMP access to certain mibs. Is the same true on the ASA? I have been using Configuration Mananger product to backup the configs on all my devices, including these firewalls, for over a year.
I switched to snmp v3 last night, including how I "request" to download the config, and my firewalls failed to get backed up - I had an error of "the credentials do not have write access to the device, TFTP Host: x.x.x.x".
I am not sure what credentials it refers to, but there are none for TFTP, so I was thinking that the issue is that I cant backup the config using SNMP on an ASA?
If I change it back to use SSH2 to backup, it works perfectly.
Any thoughts?
