I have a simple alert configured and a corresponding action to restart the service concerned if its detected down. The alert is firing no problem. I t will even send an email that I have set up to indicate the service is down.. But it will not execute the restart service action. If I go into the alert definition manually and 'simulate' and then 'execute' the action, it will carry out the service restart. The action is not being triggered otherwise. Its like its not in there at all. Orion is ignoring it. I have the correct permissions set up. Its not being stopped by the target server, it s just not being called at all. This feels like a bug.
I am on NPMv12.0 and SAM 6.2.4
the action being ignored is: APM\APMServiceControl.exe ${N=SwisEntity;M=ComponentID}
I have tested against several services.
Has anyone seen this behaviour and does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
