question on recommendations and rights

Question

So I was setting up a test local account for a group of developers so I could play around with views and rights before allowing them to log in with the AD group -

I  disallowed rights to recommendations

clicked save and go back to the test account and log back in and I still can get to recommendations screen and see the recommendations - is that the expected behavior and even let me scheduled one or allow me to use the time picker but when i hit submit it disallowed it

I would assume the disallow above would not allow them to see the page ?

Please open a ticket with support, we will need diagnostics for this.

This should definitely work -> when you disallow recommendations for some account - access denied page should appear

I am on version 7.0 and this is a individual account not an AD account and not a AD group account -

Hi Fitz,

I've got few answers for you:

- group accounts are not supported in recommendations - these accounts just ignore mngmt actions/recommendations settings that you made -> so all group accounts are able to see Recommendations page, but are not able to execute any of the recommendations (this describe behaviour that you posted on screenshots)

- you need to use individual accounts

- unfortunately, there is a bug on new version - VIM 7.1, and setting "Allow Recommendations" is not working at all (it is working on VIM 7.0)

- if this is important for you, please open a case on support
