looking for what credentials are needed for APM/SAM

I am setting up a login (credential) for my dev environment to watch all my systems.  I went to duplicate the one my production system uses and I see that it has domain admin and "SQL Admin" rights.

Is there any documentation that I can use to show security why I need this type of access?  They want something from Solarwinds that explains why this access is needed....

This is due to the limited permissions granted to non-administrative users. You can configure your systems to use non-admin accounts by following the instructions in the KB article below.

As for SQL administrator rights, this is unnecessary. Only during initial installation are SQL administrator rights used, and this is for the creation of the Orion database and for the creation of a non-privileged user account Orion will use going forward.
