Manually Added A New Node To My Network, Sending Non-Stop Alerts To Me...

My wife finished building our boy a few days ago, and I am having trouble finding the correct monitoring/alerting settings in any of our SolarWinds modules...

Every night this past week, halfway through the 2 minutes I have allocated to sleep, I have jumped up out of bed because SolarWinds keeps sending alerts to my brain, and keeps alerting me on my child's movements.

I have looked through all of the settings I could find, but I cannot seem to find the correct place to disable this alert/feature.

Thanks for nothing SolarWinds!!! lol

(I mean, I'm not gonna not wear my Stormtrooper helmet in the hospital...)

Guessing your using the wrong mounting bracket. Instead of using the "Parents bed" mounting bracket, you need to use the one labelled "Crib".

If not that, you can try configuring it using a technique called "swaddling", or relegate yourself to using an old piece of equipment, called "couch" for your sleep activities.

cnorborg Yeah, my wife and I made a deal, she manages the new one for the first few months, while I throttle the 2yr old. I figured I would let the older one stay in bed with me while mamma camps out on the couch (her idea, not mine, she says it's more comfortable...). What a horrible idea that turned out to be... now I feel like I have to retrain the older one to go back and sleep in her own bed now. Sleep... pfft... it's overrated...

The beauty of Orion is that you can set it to direct all the alerts to your peers, so you have the time to take care of #1 and #2.

Alert templates seem to work fine for cat and dog module.

Congratulations! I've got number 3 due in August. The other 2 are 12 and 6 so it will be hard to get back into the swing of things.
