Install error for SRM v6.2

I am in the process of installing several SolarWinds applications, but when installing SRM v6.2, I encountered an error almost immediately upon launching the Config Wizard:

I tried continuing with the install of the next application (UDT), but the error persists.

Any ideas? Can I make some correction to a DB table to get around this?

I see, OK, cool, thank you for this information. This was really helpful. Try following now:

1. Connect to your SQL Server Management Studio and open up your SolarWinds database.

2. Search for table SRM_Templates.

3. Delete the "Version" column only.

4. Run Configuration Wizard and let the Configuration Wizard create it.

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade?

If fresh, then try uninstalling and re-installing SRM. It sounds like an SQL update statement isn't working. Support should be able to help you with that fix pretty quickly if it is code related.

This is a fresh install. I decided temporarily to uninstall SRM so I could continue with other installs. The error did not come back the next time I ran the Config Wizard, but I suppose it will when I try to install SRM again last.

Yeah, don't forget that the Configuration Wizard has to be run after each module install. You can't stack them. Yes, it means that if you are doing a 4 or 5 module fresh install that you have to run the configuration wizard 4 of 5 times. If NPM is in the mix, install it first. If SAM and no NPM, install SAM first.

I have not seen such issue even during development Anyway, here is fallback of what you can do:

1. Connect to your SQL Server Management Studio and open up your SolarWinds database.

2. Search for table SRM_Templates.

3. Delete the table.

4. Run Configuration Wizard and it will recreate the table.

Thanks Lubo, but I still got the error when I tried to re-install SRM. Do you think I could safely delete ALL tables with "SRM" in the name in an effort to get rid of the error?
