How to Backup Config of ADVA TDM?

I have a ADVA Time Division Multiplexer FSP 3000.

Does anyone know how to backup the configuration of these devices?

Is that the old FSP3000 device, or the current FSP3000R7 platform (Optical Transport - we use this for DWDM)?

If the later, then my research indicates you are out of luck. Configuration is a binary file for which the vendor has declined to provide any decode or translation resources (on multiple requests).

Their newer FSP150 equipment generates plain-text config files than can manipulated in all the usual ways.
