http 500 internal error

We are monitoring sharepoint server using APM. we got:

Applicattion status down

component status down

details: Internal server error.Http 500

Does anyone help recover?

What is URL are you monitoring and what authentication is that URL expecting?

Commonly SharePoint sites will respond with an HTTP 500 if you attempt to connect anonymously to a site that wants Windows Authentication.

I would imagine that your APM will not be attempting to provide any credentials for authentication?
