Problem with Email Links to Alert Details Page

I have all my alerts send emails that include a link to view the alert.

     View Alert:      ${N=Alerting;M=AlertDetailsUrl}

When I trigger on a node, the link works just fine no matter the age or condition.

When I trigger on an interface, the link works just fine while the alert is active.

If the link is clicked after the alert is no longer active, I get an 'unexpected website error'.

I'm just going to have to remove the link completely if it's only going to work to an active alerts.

     Example: People checking alerts that happened overnight and getting a bunch of dead links.

Any ideas to help or has anybody had the same trouble?

It could be down to the way Orion sees an interface. Effectively an interface or volume are child entities of a node, and as such are treated differently? This would explain why the alerts on nodes persist, as  node will always exist unless it is completely deleted, but both interfaces and volumes could be transient.

Maybe the persistence of the node is the differentiator here. Only a dev or CM could answer that question.

Have you logged a ticket with support? You may get a quicker answer that way! If you do, please update this thread with the resolution. I'm interested in hearing the result.
