Automated process - can this be done?

Here is what I would like to accomplish and am wondering if it's possible. I can't quite get my head around how this might be done.

On the first of each month, I want to check a particular interface or set of interfaces and see if their 95th percentile utilization exceeds their custom bandwidth settings. If so, I want to trigger a custom report or set of reports that will then be emailed to a particular address.

I have the reports created and could do this manually every month but it would be nice if it could be automated.

Do you only want the report sent IF the utilization exceeds the bandwidth setting? Otherwise, the Report Scheduler can be used to schedule the delivery of a report.

Yes, only send a report if their utilization is higher than it should be, by comparing the 95th percentile to the custom bandwidth setting.

In my previous post, I neglected to mention that I want the utilization check to cover the previous month.

I'm not sure how to represent the 95% value in an SQL query. Perhaps someone else can help with that. However, after you have that syntax developed I believe that you would use the Filter Results tab of your report and employ an advanced elementary condition to compare the CPU utilization values to this variable. Any values that are exceeded by the 95% result would appear on the report.

However, I do not think that Orion has the ability to decide IF the report is generated, only the parameters of the report. You would then still need to use the Report Scheduler to send the report on a pre-determined schedule.

I have already created reports for each of our customers who have bandwidth limitations. I did this by using the canned historical 95th percentile report for last month and adding a WHERE piece to the SQL code to filter for the customers interface.

So I guess what I was looking for is a way to use the same principals in an alert (or possibly some other kind of script?) to check for the condition (custom bandwidth >= 95th percentile) which would then trigger an email containing the already existing report.
