SRM - alert on multiple monitored element

Hi,

We have recently had a loss of connectivity to one of our Storage Array.

We have an alert on the NAS volume for their status not equal to Up.

As soon as the Storage Array was not up all the NAS Volumes were not Up anymore and trigger the alert.

The storage array was up again 10 minutes later

I like to setup an alert like when NAS volume is unreachable and storage array is not unreachable however when i select NAS Volume in the "I want to alert on" then i'm not able to select any other object in the alert condition.

How can i configure an alert that will trigger on a unreachable volume if the storage array is not itself unknown or unreachable ?

The same question can be asked for the Pool element.

I can always use a Custom SWQL Alert however i would like to be able to simply create it in the standard way using the GUI.

I don`t think that is a use case. All of SRM status data is polled in one job and if it fails all entities will move into unreachable.

There are 3 statuses that are not dependent on the data that is polled, but on other events:

Unmanaged - when user unmanages the array
Unreachable - when connection to the device is lost
Critical - when thresholds are exceeded.

Ok, in this case i can setup a unique alert that is based on the unreachable status with an advanced option like

Alert can be triggered if more or equal to objects (at the same time) have met the specified condition and then trigger single alert

i wil then receive a unique alert for all my nas volume and not one alert per nas volume.
