The screenshot came from the Virtualization Summary -ESX Host Detail Summary - Current Hardware Health.
Each drive that the host can communicate with is displayed, along with some sort of location ID. Drive 0:7 in my screen shot tells me that this is the first of 8 drives. Figuring out which slot/bay etc. corresponds to the location ID takes a bit of caution. You don't want to pull a good drive! Bay 1 and Bay 2 in Amarnath_r's post likewise indicate the drive location. If the host is attached to SAN storage, the name of the shared volume will be displayed (see below)
Summary of the Disk Information
Note that green means everything is operating normally. If you have Hardware Alerting turned on, you should get notified if any of these change.
Drive Fault - Generally a critical error that will require a drive to be replaced
Predictive Failure - The drive is detecting faults that will likely cause the drive to fail in the near future. No data has been lost and the drive is operational....for now! Time to order the replacement!
Parity Check in Progress - When a RAID disk fails and either a hot spare kicks in, or the replacement drive has been swapped, the new drive will begin to rebuild from the RAID array. During this rebuild, the Parity Check in progress alert will be active
Critical Array - a drive has failed, but no data loss has occurred. If it is a RAID5 array, one more drive failure would cause the array to fail
Failed Array - The array has failed - in the case of a RAID5 array, this would mean 2 or more disks faulted. In the case of RAID6, 3 or more disks faulted.
