File too Large for TFTP protocol

When I transfer a 73 Mb file from a Windows host running Solarwinds TFTP server to a Cisco 9509 switch, I get the following error : "File too Large for TFTP protocol".

I transferred a 14 Mb file with no problem to this switch using the Solarwinds TFTP server.

There is enough storage space on the Cisco switch.

Our current TFTP server does not support sizes larger than 32MB. We are releasing a new version of the TFTP server in v9.0 that will provide support for the option negotation between client and server , including tsize, timeout, and blocksize (as described in RFC 2347, 2348, 2349). This will effectively increase the maximum transfer size to 4GB.

There is a file limit, I use KiWi Cattools and the tftp transfer only gets to 20971520 and then tanks. I checked the web and there appears to be a 32MB limit. Not sure what that is all about. Looks like it's time to find another TFTP server program......

Given this request was placed in 2007, I'm not sure it's valid to respond to.

If someone still has this issue with TFTP, then it's time to SCP or SFTP. Either of them are able to handle that file size. Both servers are available from SolarWinds' web site.
