Can't Telnet to any Device!

Hi Guys,

I have been using Kiwi CATools for last 4 years now. I am just trying to set it up for a new company and I can't figure out the problem.

I can't telnet (not SSH), simple telnet to any device via Kiwi CATools. I used different client, dos cmd, putty, secure CRT, but nothing worked. I can ping it from the Tool though.

Although, when I try to telnet it from the same machine, I can easily get to the device.

This is strange and have never came across like that in the past. Any help would be appreciated??

Manage to get it working via Secure CRT.

Default session on CRT was ssh. I made it telnet and I can telnet to the device by clicking the Telnet button within the device info form and through right clicking on a device in a device list and selecting "Telnet to device" option.

But not through running an activity. It display the error " Did not receive Username entry prompt from <router/switch>"

Hi Steve,

I tried all these three ways of telnet, and nothing worked.

But when I telnet to the same device from same machine without using CAT tools, I manage to get through.
