Is there a way to add or automatically add all vms not managed by orion but are in Virtualization Manager
You can do this by running the discovery in Orion on parent VCenter/Host IP address and setting Hop count to 1. This will run discovery on all child Hosts/VMs.
If you have VMAN integration with Orion enabled all VMs should automatically populate in Orion.
that doesn't always give me app data, whereas If I click on the vm in virtualization manager, and click the "manage with orion" button, everything works.
none of the vm's auto populated into orion.
How do you do this? I don't see anywhere to specify a hop count to get the VMs.
I have this question too. Ive created a ticket in the past on this and they told me I needed to create a network discovery and find the nodes.. this doesn't make sense though because VMAN finds all my virtual server nodes for me.

This is usually indicative of an integration issue when VMs in VMAN are not showing up in Orion when integration is enabled. Confirm that your configuration collections are successfully completing on the VMAN appliance and confirm that there are no licensing or other errors showing up on the appliance. If everything is running fine on the appliance and the collections are completing successfully you can rerun the Virtualization Manager synchronization wizard in Orion and confirm there are no errors. The correct behavior is that Orion should populate with all VMs polled by VMAN as long as integration is enabled the data will sync.
Ah I see, ok the sync wizard does work and sync the data. Thank you!
Is there any way to run this on a scheduled basis or will this need to be manually ran?
