defining applications effectively

Hi,

looking over the netflow stuff, there appears to be no way to really define an application as opposed to a protocol. For example, I wish to differentiate port 80 traffic to server A from port 80 traffic to Server B. i also wish to combine port 80, 443 and 1521 involving a small group of servers, into a single application. is this at all possible?

btw, who did solarwinds buy out for the netflow module?

We didn't buy anyone for the NetFlow module. All of our modules have been built organically.

At this point, applications are defined by port. We'll be adding port and protocol in the next version.

OK, well that's really very dissapointing. this module would have been a critical part of the overall solution, but it looks largely useless if it can't even aggregate data.
