It appears to me that the recommendations to balance the workload does the same thing as DRS. Is there a real benefit of using the VMAN side versus DRS?

I have the same question regarding Hyper-V Dynamic host optimization. Does VMAN have any benefits over SCVMM / what settings for CPU, Memory, Disk I/O and Neetwork I/O is it based on ?
