Under my ESX host inside Orion I see 7 "guests" on it.
Virtualization Manager lists 10 running, and 2 powered off.
Vsphere lists 12 "guests"
anyone have any insight as to why the under the virtualization tab it only shows me 7/12?
Support was able to fix issue.
Polling was set to Poll Through ESX server directly. Changed this to poll through VMware ESXi and it solved the issue.
Hello,
I can't tell you why the counts are different, too little information. BTW, is VIM integrated with VMAN? I would suggest that you contact Support, send them logs and then we will see what's going on.

Do you have any account limitations applied on the Orion side?
Balki 1429 no limitations.
After looking more into it multiple hosts are missing guests. I will submit a ticket.
After the site comes back up
Do you have SAM/NPM integrated with VMAN?
yes sir, and VMAN with SMAN
Balki 1429 do you know where I can download the IVIM connector? I will try to re-install just this component.
Hi Jake,
Is this an unmanaged ESXi host (i.e. not under a vCenter)? Was it setup on Orion to Poll directly and through vCenter on VMAN? If so, did the Sync Wizard not prompt you to address that? I'd like to know if we have a product correction needed here.
Its a managed host. it was setup in Orion to poll directly through the ESX Host. I changed it in Orion to be through VM ESXi. The sync wizard does display but doesn't show me what's missing. I think it gets mad because I have my Cisco UCX boxes in Orion and not in Vman.
I'm assuming you mean that you switched it to poll from the vCenter instead of from the ESX host. Anyway, this case should be caught by the synchronization wizard between the two products. Let me know if you ever see this again, as I'd like to take a look at what's happening. This is one of the use cases we designed the Sync Wizard to catch, so would like to know if it's not working as expected.
