should you upgrade additional pollers at the same time as main server to 11.5.2

I have tried finding out if it is advisable to upgrade the additional pollers to the same version as the main server/poller or is it possible to stagger the upgrades over time? Would 11.5.2 work with pollers still running a 10.x version?

No - the main poller needs to be upgraded before the poller as we found out doing the upgrade.
