Incorrect URL in alert Emails

Question

Hi,

I just installed NPM and SAM. I also enabled https on the Solarwinds server. All work fine except when I receive alert emails, the URL in the email is in the form of:

https://solarwinds_server:80/....

I notice this is derived from ${N=SwisEntity;M=DetailsUrl}. How can I change it at the global level to remove ":80" from the URL?

My guess is that you are missing the change to Websites table in the database for SSLEnabled set to 1.

Make sure that the website configuration in the Websites table is correct:

* Start > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager.
* Click on Add default server.
* Right-click on SolarWindsOrion database and select New query.
* Paste the following query and click on Execute:
       SELECT * FROM Websites
* Make sure that the ServerName is correct and the Port is the same as you set in IIS manager. If you are using HTTPS to access the website, make sure that SSLEnabled is set to 1. If you need to change any value here, click Enable table editing, then double-click on the field you want to change.
* If that still doesn't work Disable the Require SSL and it will work

It looks like this is an issue in the new NPM12 RC release.  For older versions, you can go to the Websites Table from Database Manager and modify the line in there to the correct url.  Make that line the primary.  If there is an alternate website, delete that row or make it the secondary.
