UDP probe auto assignment and "object is not set to an instance of object" problem

Wondering if there is a way to assign an UDP probe automatically based on some criteria. I have created an interface percent errors UDP probe that needs to be assigned to all physical frame-relay interfaces. Doing that manually and maintaining this will be a lot of work.

There also seems to be a bug when devices are removed causing "an object is not set to an instance of object" error when using UDP editor selecting pollers. Only way to get rid of that is to remove UDP probes and recreate them again. Also already selected objects for polling does not reflect when trying to add a new device for polling, all existing assignments are gone.

It is basically a known issue, and development are aware of this behaviour.

The workaround for this issue:

1. Close UnDP application
2. Run DB Maintenance (Start - All Programs - SolarWindsOrion - Advanced Features - Database Maintenance)

If you are able to recreate the "an object is not set to an instance of object" in the Universal Device Poller Application, can you Open a support Ticket so that we can have the issue addressed?

To recreate just remove an interface currently assigned to a UDP poller from web interference node management. Even reassigning UDP probe after rediscovery does not remove "an object is not set to an instance of object" error.

Ill create a ticket.
