Combine Node and application availability report

I have wrote SQL query to get nodesavailability report also we have application availability report now i want to create group report means combine both node and application availability report. How do i combine them and shows in single page?

Example:

Group1

1. Server1 - 99.94%

2. application1 - 97.33%

Take a look here. This is best document to understand Store procedure:

Store procedure is just a function to store small sql code/query and later you can just run them anytime using EXEC command.

EXEC your_store_procedure_name

Note: Orion report writer doesn't support SQL "INSERT" Command so you have to use MS SQL server agent to run your SQL code out of report writer. I have schedule my SQL query job in SQL management studio to run everyday and store results in temptable and later i am using Orion report writer to retire results from table.

Only way I've ever been able to do something like this was using a stored procedure. in your orion report, your SQL is just executing the SP.

no but basically you'd create a stored procedure that would run your two "jobs" separately and save the results to a variable @res1 and @res2 or whatever.

select @res1=(avg(<your sql here>)) would be an example.

search SQL docs for stored procedures and RETURN

you'll have to do some experimenting so make sure you back up your data first, but you shouldn't be writing anything except to variables.

When I'm exploring I usually start simply, like using getdate() instead of querying a table...just a suggestion.

That should get you going.

Any assistance with this request would be greatly appreciated.

This is just the beginning, I have another report request/requirement for server and application availability just like Satish. So, help with that one is appreciated too. I'm in no way a SQL person..."Can you ping it, then my job is done" kinda thing.
