So I have one server that we take offline every Wednesday at 3pm for maintenance. The staff that supports this system would like to stop getting alerts every time this system is "down" during this maintenance window. The system is only down for an hour and we need to be able to monitor it after that window.
However, in the Alerting Engine I can only set one particular time range, so I could make an alert only trigger from 9-5 on Weekdays, or only on weekends, but it doesn't look flexible enough to allow me to have the alert trigger every day, except on Wednesday from 3 to 4pm.
So is there another way around this or do I need to create 3 alerts for one device:
Thursday through Tuesday, 24 hours a day
Wednesday, Midnight to 3pm
Wednesday, 4pm to 11:59pm
Seems a little bit bulky. Why can't I have this level of flexibility?
