APM Option for something other than Statistical Data

Hello,

Are there any plans to implemented the following?

@VERSION" or a WMI Query that looks at a specific file version. This way I could create a report listing all the SQL servers and the TEXT result of their associated version. The Universal Pollers come close but doesnt have the flexability of APM.

The closest I've come to something like this is sending Message: along with whatever text I want to delivered. There's a couple of problems with this:

It only works with scripts as far as I know
It's sort of a kludge since the text that you pass along to Message: appears in the green info box under Component Status. It will appear immediately after the status of the component.

You can get an idea from the second screenshot in this post.

Clever way of doing it but that would be very hard to report on?

I think that the end users I have would need something slighly more visible

I'll keep it in mind for emergencies though!
