monitoring Draytek router CPU load always 100 %

Hi there,

I've recently added some Draytek Vigor 2700/2800/2900 series router to Orion NPM. It shows the CPU load on all Draytek routers as 100 % even if the router is sitting idle. Other routers such as Billion and Cisco are all fine. How can i resolve this so that it reflects the correct CPU load on those routers ?

I have no experience with Draytek devices. But I do have plenty of experience with false data due to incorrect OID's being polled, and I would be fairly certain that is what you're seeing.

Is there any way in which you could obtain the 'System' (or something similar) MIB file from the device?

Or might you be able to a MIB walk of the device?

You can also check out this cool site which allows you to search for Mib files and has all of the OID's listed within.

Once you have found the correct OID you can creat a Universal device poller. There is documentation on how to do this in the admin guide.
