Node down false positive

We have one location that we semi frequently get an alert that a node went down, when in fact it did not. Is there a way to specify that this location must be down for two polling cycles before it sends us an alert? I do have them separated out by facility and location so i can specify that.

I think its due to network latency ?

You can increase the status polling frequency to every 10 second in this way Orion will be sending ICMP request every 10 Second so it wont be down unless its really DOWN as it has to

OR changing the Alert to meet the condition for this node for x min which you think is true .

On the trigger condition screen you can set that the condition must exist for x minutes. So in this case, you can set it to 20 minutes (if your polling time is every 10 minutes) before the alert fires.

One thing to keep in mind with changing the node status polling to be that quick is that you should only set it on a few servers. If you have all of your nodes polling that quickly your poller will get overloaded.
