switch port mapper issue

i ran across this problem a year ago when I was demoing the engineer toolset program. in switch port mapper, if you want it to map ports on a switch that has a multiple vlan structure, you must identify which vlan you want to map. I just can't remember how you designate this in the ip address field. Is there anyone familiar with this?
