Hi all,
Does anyone know what the SEUM.AGENT.WORKER process does? I have 10 players on a main poller and this process is eating a lot of CPU. Is it associated with the players or with the WPM module?
Thanks
Hello Andy,
it's the process where actual playback runs. One process hosts one playback so we use multiple processes to increase playback capacity. If you have player on main poller it should have only 2 workers, not 10. But if you installed it manually and it's not out-of-the-box installation then it defaults to 10. You can change configuration to lower the number of processes sand lower to overall load on the poller.
It will now use only 2 workers. It lowers the playback capacity because it's now able to play only 2 transactions in parallel but it has smaller impact on poller.
Thanks Jiri.
I'll take your advice and add a few cores as well.
