I have upgraded all of my applications to the newest versions as of 7-28-10 and have many NPM email notifications working flawlessly. I have started to utilize APM monitors/alerts with limited success. I receive sporadic notifications when the component and/or application go into a critical state. I have the escalation set to send email every 5 minutes.
I get the initial email - then one or two escalation emails then nothing. I do not receive the reset condition emails either.
The two monitors I am testing are file count and a monitor of the World Wie Web Publishing service. I do not really need that high frequency of emails but without demonstrating consistency I can not move this into production.
I currently have a ticket opened but have been playing email/phone tag.
