Grouping similar web events

I would like to know how to group similar events together so our page doesn't get cluttered so quickly. With 800,000 messages per hour (and a good percentage of them going to web) It gets filled up when one device spits out 100 of the same message.

You can setup filters in the web console as one option to segment down what you are seeing there.

Also when setting up the rules initially you can specify which syslog messages get logged to the web console as well.

If you can isolate that one particular event (with a filter) then you can add a threshold filter after it.

Filters > Flags/Counters > Threshold (X times in Y seconds).

eg. 100 times in 60 seconds (depends on the timeframe over which the 100 identical events occurs).
