Training Recommendations

Thwackers,

I just got approval to take up to a week long Solarwinds-centric course. HOWEVER, I have no travel budget. So, the course would either need to be based in the Kansas City area or available online. I've found one so far that has a physical class and I could follow along via VPN and Video classroom. Does anyone know of companies that offer either of these types of options? All suggestions will be appreciated.

I'm not sure if you've checked out Corona Technical Services, but they offer an online NPM training class. Loop1 also offers a wider range of online training if you want more than just NPM training. Good luck, and let us know if you have any questions.

Loop1 is the class my boss found. Was hoping there were others like it, possibly in the KC area. Thanks for the quick response. I'll check out Corona now. Edit: Corona looks promising, and does Loop 1. Anyone else have suggestions???

I did the Loop1 class I think 201 about a month ago. They do both on-site and on-line training. I highly recommend it and the instructor is one of the owners. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed what he was doing. He had a ton of enthusiasm and answered all questions. They are located in Austin and I don't know how this worked for the on-line portion as I was on-site, but he brought in about 6-8 individuals from SolarWinds to speak. A nice touch and additional current information from staffers.

Don't forget that they also have some SolarWinds virtual classrooms on their site Just log in to Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds with your SW Customer info. Its under the "Support" Tab ^^

I took an online NPM class through Loop1 and found it very helpful. It was a 4 days with LOTS of info to absorb.

If you have not logged into Customer Portal before, it will prompt you to create your own Individual User Account that would be tied to your SWID (SolarWinds I.D.). I think you'll need to have the SWID and password, though. If you don't have that or know someone who has it, you can contact our customer service team and they can help get the information you need.
